PENERAPAN KOMUNIKASI TERAPEUTIK PERAWAT DI RUANG RAWAT INAP AR-RAHMAN RSI PURWOKERTO

Abstrak

Komunikasi terpeutik adalah komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh perawat dengan sadar kepada pasien yang memiliki tujuan untuk kesembuhan pasien. Hubungan yang terapeutik antara perawat dan pasien merupakan sebuah pengalaman belajar bersama sekaligus upaya perbaikan emosi pasien. Kelemahan dalam berkomunikasi merupakan masalah yang serius bagi perawat maupun pasien. Bahkan prinsip dasar komunikasi terapeutik masih sering diabaikan oleh perawat. Beberapa perawat mungkin lebih fokus hanya pada tindakan medis untuk kesembuhan pasien. Sehingga komunikasi perawat dengan pasien umumnya bersifat formal dan terbatas. Sharing discussion dilakukan untuk meningkatkan penerapan komunikasi terapeutik yang efektif oleh perawat kepada pasien. Penilaian awal komunikasi terapeutik secara observasi, wawancara untuk mengisi kuesioner oleh peneliti  dilakukan pada perawat di runag rawat inap Ar-Rahma Rumah Sakit Islam Purwokerto dari tanggal 20 februari-25 februari 2024. Kemudian sharing discussion dilaksanakan pada 5 maret 2024. Penilaian komunikasi setelah sharing discussion pada tanggal 6 maret 2024. Metode sharing discussion dipilih sebagai upaya peningkatan komunikasi terapeutik perawat. Sasaran peserta dalam sharing discussion adalah perawat di ruang Ar-rahman Rumah Sakit Islam Purwokerto yang dihadiri sejumlah 15 perawat terdiri dari kepala ruangan, perawat penanggung jawab asuhan (PPJA), Ketua tim, dan perawat pelaksana. Media yang digunakan dalam sharing discussion yaitu pengisian materi dengan power point dan role play komunikasi terapeutik oleh mahasiswa. Komunikasi terapeutik perawat di ruang Ar-rahman RSI Purwokerto mengalami peningkatan. Sebelum dilakukannya sharing discussion termasuk dalam kategori cukup sejumlah 4 perawat (80 %) dan kategori baik sebanyak 2 perawat (20 %). Setelah perawat mengikuti kegiatan sharing discussion dengan pengisian materi mengenai komunikasi terapeutik dan role play komunikasi terapeutik oleh mahasiswa, penerapan komunikasi terapeutik perawat meningkat dengan sejumlah 1 perawat dengan kategori cukup (10%) dan sebanyak 5 perawat melakukan komunikasi terapeutik dengn kategori baik (90%).

Therapeutic communication is communication carried out by nurses consciously with patients with the aim of healing the patient. The therapeutic relationship between nurses and patients is a joint learning experience as well as an effort to improve the patient's emotions. Weakness in communication is a serious problem for nurses and patients. Even the basic principles of therapeutic communication are still often ignored by nurses. Some nurses may focus more solely on medical procedures for the patient's recovery. So communication between nurses and patients is generally formal and limited. Sharing discussions are carried out to increase the application of effective therapeutic communication by nurses to patients. The initial assessment of therapeutic communication through observation, interviews to fill out questionnaires by researchers was carried out on nurses in the Ar-Rahma inpatient room, Purwokerto Islamic Hospital from 20 February-25 February 2024. Then a sharing discussion was carried out on 5 March 2024. Communication assessment after the sharing discussion on March 6 2024. The sharing discussion method was chosen as an effort to improve nurses' therapeutic communication. The target participants in the sharing discussion were nurses in the Ar-rahman room at Purwokerto Islamic Hospital, which was attended by 15 nurses consisting of the head of the room, the nurse in charge of care (PPJA), the team leader, and the executive nurse. The media used in the sharing discussion were power points and therapeutic communication role plays by students. Nurses' therapeutic communication in the Ar-rahman room at RSI Purwokerto has increased. Before the sharing discussion was held, 4 nurses (80%) were in the fair category and 2 nurses (20%) were in the good category. After the nurses took part in the sharing discussion activity by filling in material regarding therapeutic communication and therapeutic communication role plays by students, the application of therapeutic communication by nurses increased with 1 nurse in the fair category (10%) and as many as 5 nurses carrying out therapeutic communication in the good category (90%).
